Welcome to the Central Valley Presbyterian Church Member Area
The CVP Member Area was created to allow members access to both the Church Directory and Church Message Boards.
Church Directory - Once you log-in, you are able to change your family information in the CVP Directory. You are also able to download an up-to-date copy of the CVP Directory that will be delivered directly to your email in PDF format.. This area allows you to update your family information in the church directory, download an up to date directory (PDF) complete with family photos. Church Message Boards - After logging in, you are also able to post and read items on the Church Message Board. It is our hope that this message forum will be a blessing to the members of Central Valley Presbyterian Church. As another way to communicate information and share ideas and prayer requests, it is essential that we practice a few simple things to keep the message boards positive and useful. In order to post on these boards there are a few things everyone needs to be made aware of: All participants and all posts are approved by the CVP Session You can place your message and choose your category, but CVP elders will moderate all comments. In the meantime, your post will remain invisible (highlighted "red" on your screen) until approved by the moderator. This is one level of accountability we are using on the boards. Will the moderators really delete (or close) posts? Yes, although this forum is being used primarily for information, if we find comments descending into mayhem, we may choose to preemptively close them. Please don't ask why the thread (or your post) was deleted. It wasn't necessarily something you said. Very likely, somebody before you or after you posted something that had to come down. Sometimes, the only way we can remove the troublesome posts is by removing the whole thread. And a question like "where did my post go?" or "where did the ________ discussion go?" only serves to bring the discussion back to the boards. To put it simply: The CVP Session reserves the right to delete any and all posts.Be humble and civil Post your opinions and your experiences, but remember that other families may have different experiences than yours and may reason their way with impeccable logic to different conclusions. Posts which "lay down the law" may be deleted. Remember Proverbs 29:23 "A man's pride will bring him low, But the humble in spirit will retain honor." If you're joking, say so Really. Humor doesn't come across in cyberspace. Honest. Smilies help - try them. :-) Remember: No Spouse/Family Bashing The Internet (and the CVP message boards in particular) is not the appropriate place to complain about your husband, wife or children. This is also not the place to ask for marital counseling. Remember: The Chief End of Man "To Glorify God and Enjoy Him Forever" |
