Central Valley Presbyterian Church adheres to and recognizes a two-office view of church government: elder and deacon.

Elders

Every elder in our church has the ability to teach from the pulpit and the Session (the governing body of the church) is composed of elders who each hold equal authority, one with the other.

Deacons

In line with Scripture, the deacons of CVP serve the church and lead in the practical areas of ministry.  Like the deacons in the early church, these men have been chosen to serve well the practical needs of the church, allowing the elders to minister and shepherd the spiritual needs of the church.
